Here’s what’s new on MATV this week:
Milton High sports are back in action for the fall, and MATV will be recording and rebroadcasting many of the home games on the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN 15), with set times for specific teams.
For boys soccer, tune in at noon Monday through Thursday and at 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday; girls soccer at 2 p.m. during the week and 4 p.m. on the weekends; field hockey at 4 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. weekends; volleyball at 10 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m. on the weekends; and football at 7 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening.
This week watch field hockey and boys soccer take on the Natick Redhawks, while volleyball goes up against the Tiger of Newton North, and football faces off against the Belmont Marauders.
New original programs:
Hydrangeas are one of New England’s favorite flowers, and they are the focus of this month’s episode of “The Milton Garden Path.” Host Christine Paxhia takes viewers on an educational and technicolor tour of the many different varieties; far beyond just blue, pink and white. Learn what you can do to make your hydrangeas pop and be ready for next season, as this episode airs Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, Sunday at 11 a.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
Jazz pianist Ethan Stone has been playing around New England for years, and he recently brought his talents back to Fuller Village for a lively concert featuring many familiar and fun favorites. Combined with his entertaining and always pleasant sense of humor, this performance is one that is sure to put a smile on everyone’s face and get their feet tapping. Take a look and a listen when this concert kicks off Music Thursdays at 5 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
The street and sidewalk in front of the Collicot and Cunningham elementary schools has recently been undergoing a lot of construction, and MATV cameras were on-hand to cover a public meeting with town officials covering all the details. This program is currently airing on the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN 15) Monday through Thursday at 10 a.m., as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Most MATV programs are also available OnDemand, 24 hours a day, via the www.miltonaccesstv.org website.
