Fresh off breaking the Guinness World Record for continuous accordion-playing (32 hours), world-champion accordionist Cory Pesaturo recently stopped by the MATV studio for a performance and interview with Jeff Stoodt on a new episode of “You’ve Got To Have Art.” Pesaturo discusses his craft and fascinating life as a musician, during which he has has broken one barrier after the next, and brought his instrument to a new level in the eyes of musicians around the globe. Tune in for this program, which is currently airing on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13) Thursdays at 4 p.m., Mondays at 1 p.m. and all weekend long, also at 1 p.m.
The letters of John and Abigail Adams are the focus of a new lecture series at Fuller Village delivered by Curry College Professor Emeritus of history and politics Dr. John Hill. The first in this four-part conversation focuses on the Adams’ discourse on what virtues are necessary in a  citizenry in order to sustain a democracy, among those being public spirit, frugality, industriousness, justice and serving one’s fellow man. This program is currently airing during the Monday Forum at 8 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jude Johnstone stopped by the Milton Art Center as the most recent performer in their Fall 2017 Music Series. Songs from Johnstone’s prolific catalogue have been covered by beloved entertainers such as Trisha Yearwood, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Bette Midler, Johnny Cash and Stevie Nicks, and the composer brings them to Milton herself in this intimate concert. It is currently airing on Music Thursdays at 6 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

Immediately following Jude Johnstone, get as local as local gets with this month’s MAC Open Mic, featuring musicians and artists from your neighborhood. The newest installment of this monthly forum of singer-songwriters, minstrels, poets and performers returns, with regulars as well as some newcomers, currently airing on Music Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
