Here’s what’s new on MATV this week:

It’s time for the MHS Student and Faculty Cabaret! Teachers and students teamed up to play all kinds of musical arrangements, from jazz to choral, rock to folk, with tones ranging from somber to silly. See all your favorite MHS musicians along with their mentors collaborating for a fun and memorable night on the stage, when this concert airs each evening at 8 p.m. (Comcast 22/RCN 15) on the Education channel.

Representatives from the town Police and Health departments, High School, Hospital and Youth Task Force comprised a panel at the most recent Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition meeting, where they spoke about their organizations’ efforts to reduce substance abuse. Hear directly from these constituent members, including an overview on the youth center that is slated to go in at First Congregational Church, when this program airs daily at 7 p.m. on the Education channel.

After storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day and struggling to advance through the region’s infamous hedgerows, Herb Colcord was taken prisoner by Nazi forces. Now a Fuller Village resident, he recently sat down with “A Fuller Life” host Blossom Glassman to recount the story of his capture, the months of squalor he spent in captivity, and his eventual liberation by an Allied unit. Tune in for this riveting story when this new episode airs Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m., as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m., all on the Public channel.

The Boston City Singers Tour Choir starred in the most recent Milton Community Concerts presentation, “A Message of Music.” Featuring a wide range of music, from South African folk songs to classical music, from jazz standards to gospel, this group of 40 singers, ages 12-18, came to town from many parts of Greater Boston to put on this fun and upbeat show that is currently airing on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13) at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.

The exceptional musical offerings of St. Michael’s Parish were on display again for the church’s annual Good Friday concert, this year a Meditation in Music comprising John Rutter’s “Requiem.” The performance featured the St. Michael’s Schola Cantorum, Chancel Choir and Chamber Ensemble, the majority of which are made up of Milton residents. This program is currently airing during Music Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on the Public channel.
