Rousanna Gevondian Curvelo, co-founder of Violet Skin Care, is the guest on “Broad Appeal” this month. Host Melissa Fassel Dunn interviews this former nurse about her jump into entrepreneurship, specific products targeted at unique consumer groups like babies with medical issues and cancer patients, as well as some of her favorite low-cost health and beauty tips. Dealing with phone and computer scams is a daily task, and Elder Affairs Officer Patty Mandeville recently gave a talk at the Council on Aging where she went over the most common current scams as well as strategies for how to be prepared to protect yourself. She was joined by Norfolk County Deputy Sheriff Sheryl Bambery, who explained the senior “Are You OK?” program, which gives regular phone calls to senior citizens to check on their wellbeing. This presentation is currently airing on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. on the Public channel.
