And, here’s what’s new on MATV this week:
(You can view all of the following programs on our Video OnDemand page by clicking here.)
With a new set of stage lights, a new piano and a new snappy format, the Milton Art Center Open Mic is back with an updated installment of its monthly series. The wayfaring Bill Anderson is the featured performer, with original compositions on guitar. This concert is currently closing out Music Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
Archaeology is an ongoing pursuit at the Wakefield Estate, and that’s what the latest installment of the Stone Soup Speaker Series is all about. The former director of the summer archaeology institute at the estate, Dr. Sara Belkin, surveys the findings from five years of digs on the site where an Irish tenant farmer family lived in town during the 19th century. Tune in for this program that is currently airing at 5 p.m. during the Monday Forum on the Public channel.
For parents with children who will be entering the first grade in the fall, the Milton Public Schools recently held its Grade One Information Night presentation, covering topics such as curriculum, various programs for first-graders, and registration. This program is currently playing on the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN 15) at 7 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
