Board of Selectmen Chairman David Burnes recently visited the MATV studio to sit down with “My Town Matters” host Frank Schroth to talk about the state of hot-button in issues around town including the Hendries building demolition, cut-through traffic, the future of the waterfront, expanding the Board of Selectmen, commercial development and expanding the tax base. Tune in for this brand new episode as it airs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

On Monday, Jan. 15, the Milton Interfaith Clergy Association and the Milton community gathered at the Concord Baptist Church for Milton’s annual celebration of the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity, community and equality were common themes touched upon by local clergy, community leaders and citizens, including many musical performances by young artists. The entire ceremony is currently up online at www.miltonaccesstv.org under “Video On Demand,” or watch it Wednesdays at 5 p.m. and Mondays at 8 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

For parents with children turning ages 3 or 4 before Sept. 1 of this year, the Milton Public Schools recently held its Preschool Information Night where preschool staff and administrators outlined the similarities and differences in the programs offered by the district during the 2018-19 school year. Tune in for this program when it airs at 7 p.m. on the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN 15) seven days a week.
