Stand up comedian Kathe Farris, of the Boston Comedy Chicks, brings a fresh angle to the set of “It’s All Write with Suzette,” talking about comedy writing and how she got into a career that’s all about crafting jokes and making people laugh. Get the lowdown on what it takes to be a successful stand up when this new episode airs on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13) Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
Beth Greenawalt, founder and owner of Parent-Solutions Parent Coaching, is the guest on a new episode of “Broad Appeal.” This local entrepreneur talks about her process of realizing how she wanted to restructure her career, finding her passion and making it into a successful business. Tune in when this program airs Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m. as well as Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
Finishing up a whirlwind of Hollywood award-season analysis, host Eileen Maher and guest Matt Bernstein make their annual Oscar picks on a new episode of “Reel Talk.” Get ready for the Academy Awards when this episode airs Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
“Fuller Talks” gets a new set in the MATV studio this month, as the panel takes on some tough topics, including gun violence and school shootings. The panel has some harsh words for politicians in this episode’s roundup of the news, currently airing at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
This month, “A Fuller Life” showcases memoirs read by two residents. One remembers summers spent at a family cabin by the lake, and the other recounts an experience in the field at the close of the Korean War. Join in hearing these first-hand accounts from the people who lived them when this new episode airs Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m., as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
On this month’s Milton Public Library update, learn about some pals who can help young people learn to read, a valuable career-search tool offered by the library, as well as what to expect as Milton Reads kicks into gear. Curry College professor Kara Provost is a poet and teacher of writing, and she visited Fuller Village recently to run a poetry workshop. Examine some of the finer points of modern-day poem-writing, and also hear some of the presenter’s own work. This lecture is currently airing at 5 p.m. during Monday Forum on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
