James West is the guest on a new “Reel Talk with Eileen Maher,” as the Milton movie experts take a closer look at blockbuster “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Also on the table for discussion are Oprah Winfrey’s “Me Too” speech from the Golden Globes and director Clint Eastwood’s upcoming release, “The 15:17 to Paris.” Tune in for this new episode that is currently airing on Friday nights at 8 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

Founder and managing director of a student tutoring and education coaching company, Eliza Wagner Srestha is the guest on this month’s installment of “Broad Appeal.” Host Melissa Fassel Dunn leads a discussion about trends in education and strategies for parents to help get the best opportunities for their children, as well as hearing the story of how her guest made the jump from teaching to running her own company. This new episode airs Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m. as well as Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

For parents with children who have turned 5 years old before Sept. 1 of this year, the Milton Public Schools recently held its Kindergarten Information Night where staff and administrators outlined details of the program offered by the district during the 2018-19 school year, as well as important information such as the registration timeline. Tune in for this program when it airs daily at 8 p.m. on the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN 15).

On this month’s Milton Public Library Update, viewers will get to meet a new member of the library staff, as well as get a look at the famous Teddy Bear Picnic. Director Will Adamczyk gives the scoop on upcoming events for Milton Reads, librarians preview highlights from the month ahead, and staff give their book picks.
