Happy Thanksgiving!
And, here’s what’s new on MATV this week:
(You can view all of the following programs on our Video OnDemand page by clicking here.)
Mama Steph returned to a packed house at the Milton Public Library for an entertaining children’s show that is perfect for kids ages 0-5. Sing and dance along as she plays guitar, sings and tells fun and educational stories with a cast of puppets and other helpers. Tune in to the Library Children’s Hour at 2:30 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as Tuesdays, all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13) to check out this program.
Before she was a business owner, Timika Downes worked in accounting, but she had always wanted to be a doctor. On a new episode of “Broad Appeal,” she shares the story of how helping her mother recover from an illness started her on the path to becoming a school nurse, launching Lice Clinics of Medford and paying off her student loans. Catch this interview Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 a.m. on the Public channel.
The Fuller Village Craft Fair is an annual bazaar of holiday themed treats, many edible, some wearable and others useful or just nice to look at, all created by local artisans and residents. Host Nancy Kearns takes a tour around the fair on a new episode of “A Fuller Life” to see what the crafters have been up to. It’s currently airing on Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m., as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m., all on the Public channel.
Connie Spiros has your homemade holiday party nibbles covered, with some delicious and deceptively easy new recipes on. Beef tenderloin with a rich horseradish dipping sauce, cheese puff gougeres, a decorative cream cheese ball and olives hors d’oeuvre covered in crushed nuts and, you guessed it, cheese, are all on the menu for a new episode of “Meet Me in the Kitchen” that is now airing on the Public channel on Tuesday mornings at 11 a.m. and all weekend long at 7 p.m.
