Milton Community Concerts returns for its 2017-18 season, kicking things off with world-champion accordion player Cory Pesaturo, who is accompanied by another world champion, fiddler Mari Black. This unique concert is fresh, new and totally unexpected. Enjoy it while it plays on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
Part II of Curry College professor Dr. Grant Burrier’s series of lectures on the history of environmentalism focuses on the dispute over the Hetch Hetchy meadow near Yosemite Valley that set the stage for an issue that is still being debated today: preservation versus conservation. Films clips help illuminate this influential conflict, in a lecture that is currently airing during the Monday Forum at 8 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

Photographer and teacher Barry Pell recently gave a presentation at the Milton Public Library titled “A Year in Chile.” Pell and his wife lived in the Chilean capital, Santiago, for a year teaching English, and documenting the country’s landscape and culture through photographs. This visually engaging lecture is currently airing during the Monday Forum at 6:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

Get the scoop on a new science book for kids on the latest episode of “It’s All Write with Suzette.” Jenn Dlugos and Charlie Hatton come back on the set with host Suzette Standring to talk about their latest book, “Bizarre Space,” which is all about the latest and weirdest stuff outer space has to offer. This program is currently airing on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13) Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
