And, here’s what’s new on MATV this week:
(You can view all of the following programs on our Video OnDemand page by clicking here.)
Our weekly local sports show, “Steppin’ Up to the Plate,” took a look at what Milton’s athletes are up to over the summer, stopping by the Wildcat Wellness Center at MHS to talk with the head of the high school’s strength and conditioning program, Ted Kackley, who runs the program. Join host Mike Vega while he goes inside the state-of-the-art weight room and training techniques that young athletes are using to reach their potential as this new installment premieres Thursday, Aug. 2, at 6:30 p.m. and then plays Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 5:30 p.m., all on the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN 15). Also catch reruns weeknights at 6:30 p.m.
Parking issues around town, a scathing report on Veterans Affairs nursing homes in the region, as well as the fallout from the Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki, Finland, are the topics of the talk on the August edition of “Fuller Talks.” It’s not just paid strategists for either political party on this show, but real people with real opinions. Check in with Pearl, Frank and Tara in this new episode that is currently airing at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
Resident Sheri Kaufmann, owner of Firefly Functional Wellness, is the guest on a new episode of “Broad Appeal.” Host Melissa Fassel Dunn talks with her about her transition from the world of advertising to becoming a health coach, specifically a functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner who helps people identify and treat the root causes of health issues in their lives. This program is currently airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 a.m. on the Public channel.
The Children’s Room is spending lots of time outdoors, a new artist is coming to the Wotiz gallery, there are lots of August adult events, summer reading is finishing strong while preparations for the fall Library Gala are heating up, Sally has new beach reads, and Chris has the inside info on how to get free music downloads on the library’s website. All this and more is in the August Milton Public Library Update. It’s airing Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m. as well as Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m., all on the Public channel.
