(You can view all of the following programs on our Video OnDemand page by clicking here.)
There may not be any contested town-wide office races this Town Election, but voters will be faced with a referendum as to whether to make the Town Treasurer job an appointed position, as opposed to the elected role it is now. Town Government Study Committee Chair Rick Neely dropped by the set of “My Town Matters” this month to take an in-depth look at this issue. Hear from him when this program airs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on the Public channel.
And “Fuller Talks” is taking on the Town Treasurer question as well, as Town Government Study Committee member Leroy Walker, along with Fuller Village Chair Marvin Gordon, makes his pitch to voters. The panelists also get in some history on this episode that is all about how Fuller Village came to be. This discussion is currently airing at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., all on the Public channel.
The Apollo Club of Boston, the second-oldest continuously active men’s singing group in the country, recently held a concert at Fuller Village, performing folk songs, show tunes, sea chanteys, love songs and other classical and semi-classical music. This lively and pedigreed production is currently airing during Music Thursday at 7 p.m. on the Public channel.
Milton High School and Pierce Middle School musicians recently teamed up for Jazz Night at the MHS auditorium. Groups of all sizes and compositions took the stage to show off their skills and entertain the crowd on this evening that was full of familiar favorites as well as innovative improvisation. Tune in to the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN15) at 2:30 p.m. on weekdays or 9 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to catch this performance.
