Statewide Recognition!
Two MATV Shows Nominated for Mass Creator Awards
There is nothing we like better than when our incredible producers get recognition for their hard work and creativity, so we are excited to announce that at this past week’s Mass Creator Awards, episodes of two MATV shows — the “Hauling Valhalla” episode of Talk of the Town with Brian Kelley, and the “Back to School” episode of Actin’ Up with Mel and Gigi Giraffe — were finalists in the “Best Documentary” and “Youth” award categories, respectively.
The Mass Creator Awards recognizes the best productions from public access stations across the Commonwealth during the past year, and with Massachusetts having more stations than any other state in the nation, there is a lot of competition!
There were many amazing entries this year, especially in these two extremely competitive categories. Even though our shows didn’t win the big award, it was an honor just to be selected as finalists from a large field of entrants. It was the first time MATV shows have entered a competition, and we are very proud of how well they performed.
So congratulations to producers Brian Kelley and Mel Gillespie, as well as everyone that participated in creating two truly outstanding programs!
Take a look back at these two episodes while you ponder the question: Will you be the next MATV producer to walk down the red carpet?
We can’t wait to help you put together your own award-worthy show. Have a great month!
