Summer doesn’t start in town until the We Are Milton Music Fest and Fireworks hits, and MATV cameras were once again on-hand to catch all the action, including musical acts Booty Vortex Funk and Disco Band, the Neville Sisters and Mark Morris and the Catunes. Tune in to the Education channel (Comcast 22/RCN 15) all day on the Fourth of July, when we will air the concert three times, starting at 6 a.m., 12 noon and 6 p.m., and then again Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 2 p.m. each day. Don’t forget to stick around for the fireworks finale.

And then you can switch gears for the followup concert, Celtic Sunday music festival, that this year featured Erin’s Melody, Curragh’s Fancy, The Fenian Sons, Sean Brennan and The Skiffs and headliner All Folk’d Up. This program is also going to air over the weekend following Independence Day at 8 p.m., also on the Education channel.

But what they may not know is the winding road she took to wind up there, including starting a career in higher education as a director of student life, or her current second career as a realtor for Gibson Sotheby’s. Spend a half-hour with her and host Melissa Fassel Dunn on a new episode of “Broad Appeal” that is now airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 a.m. on the Public channel.
