The Eustis Estate recently hosted a pair of classically trained musicians who gave a fun take on  favorite songs from around the globe. The performance, “Music from Around the World,” elevated pop and folk standards from a number of countries in arrangements that are sure to surprise and entertain. Check out this intimate and lighthearted concert when it airs at 6:30 p.m. during Music Thursday on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Eileen McNamara’s new book, “Eunice: The Kennedy Who Changed the World,” explores the premise that Eunice Kennedy Shriver left the greatest legacy of any of her well-known siblings, having pioneered many rights for those with disabilities, and famously founding the Special Olympics. The author recently spoke at the Milton Public Library about her new work, and that presentation is currently airing during the Monday Forum at 6:30 p.m. on the Public channel.

Lisa Tavakoli, who is an expert on tea, returned to the library with her newest presentation, “Tea Gowns, Tea Gardens and The Tango: Early 20th Century Tea in England Pre-World War II,” explaining how tea was entwined with the British culture during both world wars, helping people cope and maintain a sense of civility. Tune in to the Public channel during the Monday Forum at 5 p.m. for this talk about one of the world’s favorite beverages.

The Fuller Talks panelists said before taping this month’s show that they were going to have to “wing it” because they had to keep scrapping their lineup of topics due to pace of the news coming out during this runup to the 2018 midterm elections. Add in the recently-completed Special Town Meeting, and you’ve got a recipe for a political talk show that hits fast and hard. Hear what Pearl, Frank and Tara have to say at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., all on the Public channel.
