What’s New on MATV, Sept. 28, 2017

By Michael Lynch

MATV Executive Director

It’s time for a very spooky episode of “Actin’ Up with Mel and Gigi Giraffe” … well, not too spooky! Everyone’s favorite giraffe takes a trip to Scotland to look at the region that gave birth to Halloween, while the kid crew gets some expert help with face-painting and creating their own costumes. Kids can follow along from home when they tune in for this brand new episode seven days a week at 3:30 p.m., and Monday through Thursday in the morning at 7:30 a.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

“Meet Me in the Kitchen” took another trip to the Milton Farmers Market this past week, cooking up delectables like zucchini turkey lasagna, shiitake mushroom polenta and pesto roasted chicken. Chef Connie Spiros shows you how it’s all done on this new episode that airs Tuesday mornings at 11 a.m. and all weekend long at 7 p.m., both on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

October is full of events and surprises at the Milton Public Library, as your local librarians fill everyone in on what’s coming up for kids, teens and adults. And, of course, Sally is back with her book recommendations for the month, too. Tune to find out what’s happening at the library when this month’s episode of “The Page Turner” airs Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m. and Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
