Starting this September, MATV is launching a brand new monthly e-newsletter: Milton Connected. It’ll keep you informed about things like opportunities to help on production crews, innovative new equipment and things we’re doing at the station, behind-the-scenes content as well as keep you up to date on the shows your neighbors are creating. It’s a great way to keep up with what your local media center is up to. Just send an email to email@example.com to sign up.
Here’s what’s new on MATV this week:
With everyone back in town for the fall, the public library has packed its schedule with events for kids, teens and adults. In this look forward to September’s offerings, library Director Will Adamczyk also interviews Kathy Fagan of the Friends of the Milton Public Library about the upcoming library gala. See what’s in store at your own town’s library when this program airs Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m. and Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
“My Town Matters” is new this week, with Town Moderator Bob Hiss coming to the set to discuss the outlook for October’s Special Town Meeting, including the issues that the Warrant Committee will be tackling as well as the large number of new faces on that committee. Join host Frank Schroth as this program airs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
Labor Day has just passed, but you can still watch and listen to a recent musical lecture about the connection between folk music and the American labor movement. Stonehill College professor and folk musician Corey Dolgon entertains and educates the audience at Fuller Village, as well as at home, when this program airs during Forum Night on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
All MATV programs are also available OnDemand, 24 hours a day, via the www.miltonaccesstv.org website.
