Weekly Update for August 31, 2017

Residents and talented classical musicians Rose Moerchsel, violin, and Rita Moerschel, piano, recently played a concert together at Fuller Village, performing a number of double concertos by composers such as Beethoven and Edward Elgar. This intimate presentation airs on Music Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

 

The state-run deer hunt in the Blue Hills will occur for the third year this November, and Department of Conservation and Recreation officials recently held a public meeting in the MHS auditorium. The session included a presentation about the hunt and DCR’s deer population management program, as well as comments and questions from community members. A full recording of the meeting is currently airing on the Government channel (Comcast 8/RCN 3) at 10 a.m. daily.

 

“Fuller Talks” is new this week, as host Pearl Wachman is back in the captain’s chair leading a wide-ranging discussion that covers topics including the new residential/commercial building proposal in East Milton, the Blue Hills deer hunt and the countless items of national and international news from the past month. Get a local perspective from the Fuller pundits as this program airs at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
