Weekly Update for August 3, 2017

Since 1971, the Gloucester Clog and Hornpipe Society has been a staple among folk music in New England. The group’s co-founder Owen Hartford, who is a Milton resident, recently created a feature-length documentary chronicling the life of this band whose myriad members play instruments as distinctive as bones, spoons, bodhran, washtub bass and pogocello. MATV is pleased to air this look back at a part of New England’s musical legacy on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

Fuller Talks is new this week, and the roundtable takes a look at a number of issues across the political spectrum, on scales ranging from global to municipal. Take a look as this program airs at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., all on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
