New York Times best-selling author J. Courtney Sullivan, who grew up in town, visited the Milton Art Center recently for an interview about her newest novel, “Saints for All Occasions.” Another acclaimed author, Stuart Nadler, who wrote “The Inseparables,” conducted the conversation, which delved into Sullivan’s character backstories, her motivations, and some other interesting tidbits. Tune in for this literary treat when it airs during the Monday Forum at 5 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).

“The Garden Path” takes a trip to a secret garden of another type in this month’s new episode. Host Christine Paxhia visits the Quincy home of Paul Cook for a tour of his hidden gem of a yard that is one part Victorian garden, one part Edward Scissorhands masterpiece. Come along to this hideaway tucked into the side of a hill and filled with exotic and rare specimens, as this program airs on the Public channel Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m.

The featured performer at this month’s MAC Open Mic is Art Center regular Chance Langton, a musician and actor who has headlined major comedy clubs across the country, had roles in movies including “House Party 2” and Adam Sandler’s “8 Crazy NIghts,” and whose song “I’m Better Than Them” is played nationally on the popular Dr. Demento radio program. All your other favorite MAC acts round out the program, which is currently airing during Music Thursday at 8 p.m. on the Public channel.
