Tune in for this program when is airs during Music Thursdays at 5 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
Curry College’s Professor Emeritus John Hill continued his lecture “Contemporary Issues in Historical Perspective” series at Fuller Village with a look at World War I and the lessons to be learned from examining both the successful and problematic decisions made by major actors throughout the conflict. A particular focus on the moves made by then-U.S. President Woodrow Wilson runs through this talk, that is currently airing during the Monday Forum at 5 p.m. on the Public channel.
Sam Ducharme had no prior backpacking experience when he bought a plane ticket to Georgia and set out on the Appalachian Trail, hiking 2,180 miles through 14 states, sleeping in a hammock for six months and encountering all the challenges and beauty along the way to the trail terminus at Mount Katahdin in Maine. He shared his journey with an audience at the Milton Public Library recently, and MATV was there to capture this photo-filled talk, which is currently airing during the Monday Forum at 6:30 p.m. on the Public channel.
Hats, hats and more hats were on stage and under examination at a recent lecture at the Eustis Estate that took a surprising and entertaining look at the history and cultural significance of headwear throughout the centuries. Prolific hat collector Lorraine Muratore-Pires, who owns over 500 historical pieces, reminds everyone that every hat has a story, in this fun talk that is airing at 8 p.m. during the Monday Forum on the Public channel.
