“Kill It To Save It: An Autopsy of Capitalism’s Triumph over Democracy” is the book up for discussion on a new episode of “It’s All Write with Suzette.” Stonehill College professor Corey Dolgon, who lives in town, is the author of this examination of the current state of America, including the effects of globalization, neoliberalism and changing public institutions. He sits down with host Suzette Standring on this new episode that is airing on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13) Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 p.m. as well as Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The Rev. Richard Fernandez recently spoke at B.I.D. Medical Center-Milton about his personal experiences with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In 1958, Fernandez first interviewed King during the aftermath of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and then served as the organizer of King’s famous 1967 speech at Riverside Church in New York, one year to the day before his assassination. This lecture is currently airing on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13) during the Monday Forum at 6:30 p.m.
Solarize Milton is a town-wide program designed to encourage the installation of residential and small-scale solar energy generation. A recording of this discussion is currently airing during the Monday Forum at 5 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
