Heart healthy recipes are on the plate on a new “Meet Me in the Kitchen.” Massachusetts General Hospital’s Dr. Monique Tello joins Connie Spiros to cook up some grilled chicken stir-fry with a tangy, mustardy sauce, a veggie and nut-filled salad, some edamame for a snack, and dark chocolate-covered strawberries for dessert. Turn this on and cook along in your kitchen when it airs on the Public channel  (Comcast 9/RCN 13) on Tuesday mornings at 11 a.m. and all weekend long at 7 p.m.

Teaching children about Boston’s history is retired National Park Ranger Lauren McGrath’s passion, and she recently stopped by the set of “It’s All Write with Suzette” to talk about her recently released illustrated book on the subject, “If Boston’s Buildings Could Speak: By Freddie the Fish.” She chats with host Suzette Martinez Standring about her career leading tours of Boston’s historic downtown, as well as how this book came to be. This conversation is currently airing on the Public channel Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 p.m.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, three poets who are also professors at Salem State University recently held a shared reading at the Milton Public Library. Professors Kevin Carey, January Gill O’Neil and J.D. Scrimgeour read from their original poems in a so-called poetry in the round fashion, following each other rapid fire, choosing poems on the fly to follow thematically what had just been read before, one at a time. Tune in for this lively reading when it airs during the Monday Forum at 5 p.m. on the Public channel.
