Residents got another chance to hear from the candidates for town-wide office at the recent Fuller Village Debate. Candidates went head-to-head, answered relevant questions from a moderator in this discussion with an eye toward the April 24 Town-wide Election. It is currently airing at seven days a week at 3 p.m. on the Government channel (Comcast 8/RCN 3).
And at the final forum featuring candidates for the town-wide office, the East Milton Neighborhood Association’s Candidates Forum featured more of a back-and-forth between audience members and the candidates. Tune in for this candid session that is currently airing at seven days a week at 4 p.m. on the Government channel (Comcast 8/RCN 3).
In a new episode, “My Town Matters” takes a look at the town-wide Solarize Milton solar energy initiative. Host Frank Schroth sits down to interview Sustainable Milton’s Laurie Macintosh and Henry MacLean about this program that incentivizes property owners to install solar panels, including a financial breakdown and testimonials from those who already have solar cells on their roofs. Catch this program as it airs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on the Public channel (Comcast 9/RCN 13).
The Friends of the Milton Public Library recently hosted Toni Wiley, the executive director of Sportsmen’s Tennis and Enrichment Center in Dorchester, to talk about the work and history of her organization. This youth-oriented tennis club on Blue Hill Avenue helps local young people develop character and life opportunities through tennis and mentorship. This lecture is currently airing at 6:30 p.m. during the Monday Forum on the Public channel.
The Nahanton Avenue Band was the featured performer at the April installment of the monthly Open Mic at the Milton Art Center. Catch all your favorite local performers as well, as the Open Mic airs in its usual time slot on Music Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the Public channel.
